The Archipelago Trail

Northern Europe's most famous archipelago route, about 250 km, runs through Pargas, Nauvo, Korpo, Houtskär, Iniö and Kustavi back to the mainland. Here's the overview.

By car or bike?

🚗 By car

Possible in a day, but tight. We recommend 2 days so you can take café breaks and actually see the archipelago.

Ferries 1–4 may slow you down on summer weekends. Stay overnight in Nauvo or Houtskär.

🚴 By bike

One of the best cycling routes in Northern Europe. Stages 45–70 km/day. We recommend 3–5 days.

Ferries are free (except Iniö) and bikes ride along. Accommodation along the route.

Stages

The route can be done in either direction. Here's the most common Turku → Naantali loop.

Stage 2
Nauvo → Korpo (~25 km)

Stage 3
